Chewing gum is a big and disgusting problem we face as people feel it’s perfectly acceptable to throw their already chewed gum on the streets, which makes it looks unsightly and dirty. So how can you get rid of chewing gum? There are quite a few chewing gum remover machines on the market so I have decided to pick out 5 and see what they have to offer.
1. E-zee Gum – The GR600 Unit
This chewing gum remover machine is small, lightweight and will remove gum without the use of chemicals or large quantities of water. It’s one of the most environmentally friendly ways to get rid of that horrible sticky problem we have lying around on the streets. It comes with its own 12v lithium battery which enables the machine to be self-powered for up to 8 hours at a time. The way it gets rid of gum is, a steam generator vaporises the chemical and produces 3 litres of heated vapour per second. This destroys the gum within 3 seconds. Since this machine doesn’t need to use a generator, water or other chemicals it’s very cheap to run.
2. Spin A Clean Ltd – The EcoGum
This machine is carbon fibre and has a built in gas-powered burner which vaporises their environmentally friendly cleaning chemical. It’s a backpack so is easy to transport and has a 12 volt pump along with a rechargeable battery. It’s completely silent and there is no need for an external power source. The combination of pressure, heat and cleaning solution will remove the gum in just 4 seconds and one cleaning operative can remover over 150 pieces of gum in an hour.
3. Ace Cleaning Equipment – The Gum Blaster
The Gum Blaster will remove the gum and collect it at the same time. It can be fitted to any hot or cold water pressure washers but using hot water will give quicker and better results. The whole operation to remove gum will take between 4-6 seconds and there are no chemicals needed.
Gumwand is a lightweight chewing gum removal product so is easy to carry around. It is operated by one person without the need for generators or cables. It can be used outside on pavements/tarmac and is fine to use indoors on carpets. This machine transforms the gum into a powder that is then brushed away without damaging the surface. It used a sugar beet based detergent which is safe and environmentally friendly.
5. Clean Sweep Hire – Gumcart M6042
This chewing gum remover machine offers an easy to use system that remove gum with ease. It removes the gum by using a special detergent, steam and pressure. This will dissolve any chewing gum that’s stuck. It’s ideal for use in areas that may be difficult to access such as narrow streets or school playgrounds.
