My Festival Picks

If you’re into rock music and the Indie scene then the likelihood that you’re going to a festival this year is probably quite high. Thousands of people will be making their way to locations all over the country to see their favourite performers live on stage, so get your dry shampoo and Amplified T Shirts ready as I take you through some of my favourite festivals that are happening this year.

Isle of Wight
This is a particular favourite of mine as it’s right on my doorstep. Headlining this year are the likes of Blondie, Bon Jovi and The Killers. Whether you are just going for one day or are staying the whole weekend, be sure to check out the island itself. It’s known across the country for its white sands and landmarks. The Isle of White festival first started in 1968 and has been rocking strong ever since.Isle of Wight Festival

Glastonbury
Glastonbury is a world famous festival which started in 1970. It is held in Pilton, Somerset and attracts flocks of visitors each year. The festival was originally started as part of the ‘hippie movement’ by a farmer and 14 friends who invested everything they had to build the stage. That all paid off though and this year will be hosting acts such as The Rolling Stones, Arctic Monkeys and Mumford and Sons.

Download Festival
Download festival was originally started as a follow on from the Monsters of Rock festival which took place on the same site. Download got its name as it originally used to give ticket holders codes in which they could download the tracks of the artists they’ve seen. This year a ticket to Download could see you witnessing the likes of Slipknot, Iron Maiden and Limp Bizkit.

If you’re looking to go to a festival this year to see your favourite band or artist then you need to make sure you have all the essentials. You can purchase amplified T Shirts from B Famous London which will be perfect for the weekend’s festival antics and let everyone know who it is you are looking forward to seeing. http://www.bfamouslondon.com
