Classroom Capers Wins At Sussex Business Awards

West Sussex based Classroom Capers has raised its profile once again by winning an award at the Sussex Business Matters Awards 2012.

Described as an event to celebrate the achievements and successes of the ‘leading lights’ of the Sussex area’s business world, Classroom Capers was the winner in the Education and Training category.

Expanded this year to cover key areas of the South East including Horsham, Crawley, Mid Sussex and parts of East Sussex, the annual awards were hosted by television newsreader and presenter Fred Dinenage at Gatwick’s Copthorne Hotel Effingham on Friday 20th July.

Nominations were sent in by Johnstone press newspaper readers, then judged by James Stoner, managing director of JSPC Computer Services, Daniel Grainge, a partner at chartered accountants’ Spofforths, and Gary Shipton, Editor In Chief of the host newspapers – the West Sussex County Times, the Crawley Observer, the Mid Sussex Times, and the Sussex Express.

Joanne Chandler, Managing Director of Classroom Capers commented:

We are incredibly proud to have won this award. It was a privilege to be at the award ceremony surrounded by so many top performing companies and now to be considered one of them. Well done to everyone involved and to all the other winners. It just goes to prove the level of talent, dedication and hard work that exists locally.

This is only the second business award Classroom Capers has entered and we have won both times. The first was the Government backed Local Business Accelerator award in 2011. That’s an incredible record for such a young company and hopefully an indication of our determination to be a major player in providing resources to the hard working pre and primary school teachers in the UK.

As winners of this award, we are automatically entered for the Southern Business Awards – an even more prestigious prize to win – could this be third time lucky?! We hope so!
