Thanks E5P!

All I can say is Everything5Pounds.com is a lifesaver!

I’m getting a bit ahead of myself and some context behind why E5P is such a lifesaver would be handy wouldn’t it?!

Basically, I’ve just started a new job and in the first week I could tell that my manger already didn’t like me. This isn’t a pity story so don’t feel bad, it’s just the way it is. My new job was the assistant manager position at the Riverbank Hotel, one of the up market places to dine and stay in our town. The Riverside has just completely rebranded with the finishing touches in time for a weeding that was being held there the week after.

We pride ourselves on the weddings we can pull off in our venue. They’re beautiful and the pictures look stunning. There was just one problem with the wedding just after the rebranding. The bride and groom had asked to see the uniform that our staff would be wearing. The bride wasn’t happy as the shirts had the old logos embroidered on. She wasn’t happy.

How could we forget about the uniforms for the waiters?!

The manager had left the job up to me to rectify and to be honest, I think he was hoping that I would muck it up and that it would be an excuse to get rid of me. I was determined to do my best so I started researching.

I only had 6 days so having 20 mens t-shirts commissioned with a printers/embroiders was out of the question now, there was no guarantee they would be back in time.

Whilst looking around online I stumbled across Everything5Pounds.com. I was looking through their mens t-shirts (more for myself I must admit) when I noticed that they had some nice shirts which would look great on our waiters.

The idea was simple, use my own money to buy 20 of these shirts and have the new logo embroidered ones ordered on the company credit card. That way, if they turn up in time then it’s a bonus and if not then these shirts I found on E5P would be here as I put them through on next day delivery.

The day before the wedding I was surprised with a phone call from the T Shirt shop, ours were ready! I went to pick them up and drove them straight to the hotel. The owner as well as my manager were there setting up the marquee for the following day’s events. I showed them the shirts as to which they were surprised with.

The owner really liked the mens t-shirts with our logo on the right hand side. This is when some questions were put forward about what I would have done if these hadn’t turned up in time. I ran out to my car and grabbed the shirts that I had ordered on next day delivery from E5P.

To my surprise, my boss and the owner of the hotel actually preferred the shirts from Everything5Pounds. They compared them against the mens t-shirts I had ordered and decided that they were nicer quality and looked more professional without our logo.

So, thanks to E5P I’m in everyone’s good books, for now anyway! Who knew some men t-shirts could have saved my job.
